Who we are

We strive to excellently educate all the children under our care and authority without racial, country of origin nor religious discrimination.

Given the apparent fear of a growing suburb, where businesses are nesting, ZPS is located in the midst of Yeoville, on a leafy street of Fortesque, and this against all odds.

Its teaching Staff is qualified, competent, and not only caring but mostly guiding its pupils towards a brighter scholastic future through daily lessons, class works and educational excursions to various venues.

We provide an effective, but affordable education for all. Zabantu is a private school run by professionals in the domain of Education. The education we offer is pedagogically sound and of good quality.

Our staff use traditional teaching methods: exposing lessons, explaining them and administering exercises of application, both in the classroom and capping these with home works. Our teaching Staff avoid the current and widely spread pasting methods whereby learners’ notebooks are transformed into an artistic board where in illegally photocopied pages of textbooks are pasted, giving therefore fallacious impression of real teaching and learning. Proven consequences of such methods on children are inter alia incapacity to write properly, poor word spelling, ugly handwriting and passive mnemonic-sensory motor capacity.

We teach handwriting (i.e calligraphy), arithmetic, calculation, mental calculation, mathematics, text reading and comprehension, etc.. to our pupils.

Due to the cosmopolitan environment we are operating in, and upon demand of some parents, we have introduced French language as a unique subject in our curriculum, therefore harbingering Portuguese in the years to come. Interested criticism, suggestions and proposals are welcomed in other for us to fulfill this noble mission.
